Commit Graph is coming to the Desktop App!
We’re excited to announce the latest update to our Desktop App, which introduces the Commit Graph—a powerful visual tool that helps users better understand and navigate their Git repositories.
Many of you have shared how invaluable the web-app commit graph is for learning Git and increasing your confidence in using it. Since we know that for many of you, most of your work happens within our Desktop App, it only made sense to bring this feature directly to where you spend your time.
The Commit Graph provides a clear, visual representation of your repository’s history, making it easier to track changes, follow branch workflows, and generally understand a repository's history. This feature is especially helpful for those looking to gain a deeper understanding of how branches interact and evolve.
To ensure a smooth rollout, the Commit Graph won’t be enabled by default in this release. However, you can get started today by enabling it in the app’s settings. Check out our Documentation for step-by-step instructions on how to start using the Commit Graph today.
We’re looking forward to hearing how this new feature enhances your workflow!
Happy branching!
